I would just like to make a few comments on the book. What stands out most in this book, paosios, is the radiant image of Elder Paisios, possessed of divine gifts, laboring in prayer for his fellow man, and overflowing with unconditional love. Here they were living in an Orthodox country, the gurus the young man and elder paisios yet they knew nothing nor cared to learn anything about Orthodox Christian mysticism, but were involved in Hindu mysticism!
